Capitalflow is delighted to have sponsored the Beann Eadair GAA
Walk Across Europe Club Event at the weekend, designed to help connect the club and community through the ongoing challenges of Covid.

Kicking off on Friday and spanning the weekend, the event reached out to all of the local club members, players & their coaches, plus family members and the wider community. Despite the tumultuous weather on Saturday (which luckily improved on Sunday!), the level of participation was fantastic, together the club and community walked and ran a fantastic 13,645 kilometres, all socially distanced and within the 5km.

To help entice the community to get up and out, the club pitted the boys against the goals, and organised an extensive treasure hunt for stones strategically dotted around the community, including bonus gold stones, with lots of prizes for the young and old alike, which made the weekend!

“Huge thanks to Ronan and the Capitalflow team for supporting our community event. With the ongoing challenges of Covid and recent news that restrictions are set to continue, we are hugely aware of the challenges this is posing for our communities, therefore an event like this that can help people connect is more important than ever” Aidan Comerford, Chairman Beann Eadair GAA.

Together, over the weekend, the club and community walked and ran a fantastic 13,645 kilometres, all socially distanced and within the 5km radius, absolutely smashing the original goal of 5,000 kms. Delighted to see girl power is alive and kicking with the Girls victorious over the Boys! Huge thanks to all of the participants.
