Capitalflow was represented by our digital officer, Stephen Byrne who virtually showcased our new digital offering to the panel of esteemed judges, Brian Hayes, CEO, Banking Federation of Ireland; Ciaran Hancock, Business Editor, Irish Times; David Dalton, Partner & Head of Financial Services, Deloitte; Carol Gibbons, Head of ICT & International Services at Enterprise Ireland; Gulru Atak, Global Innovation Lead for Treasury & Trade Solutions, Citi; and Furio Pietribiasi, Chairman, FSICEO, Mediolanum International Funds Ltd.

The evening was introduced by Deloittes and chaired by TV personality Grainne Seoige. Entertaining keynote from Keynote speaker from Googles’ Kirk Vallis. Kirk Vallis is an expert keynote speaker on the topic of harnessing of creativity and innovation within the workplace, and the value of people, alongside technology, in achieving this.

In 2012, Kirk joined Google as their Global Head of Creative Capability Development. He does this in two ways – by partnering on projects where the team recognises they need to disrupt their thinking to develop new options, and also by training Googlers on the techniques and approaches that help them be even more creative on demand, when it’s needed most. Kirk Built Google’s Magic Academy, a revered programme to help make creativity as valued a part of Googlers’ toolkit as knowledge and technical based skills.

The award on the night went to our worthy opponents Revolut, but we take great pride in our shortlisting! Sincere thanks for Deloitte for hosting such great awards this evening and well done to Stephen and all of our digi team whose hard work made all of this possible!
