Since 2016, we’ve evolved from a local startup into a nationwide leader with over €2.3 billion in total advances.

2016 – Foundations

Capitalflow was founded to provide Irish SMEs with a finance partner that listens. Backed by Pollen Street Capital, we opened our first office and launched our initial Asset Finance and Invoice Discounting products.

2017 – Strategic Expansion

A merger with BBF Capital expanded our capabilities, allowing us to add specialist Property Finance to our growing product suite.

2018 – Rapid Growth

Named Ireland’s Fastest Growing Business Lender, we grew to a team of 50 and opened new offices in Santry and Baggot Street to support our expanding customer base.

2019 – Purpose & Partnership

We launched our ESG agenda and partnered with the SBCI to deliver a new €50m fund specifically for Irish SMEs.

2020 – Community & Resilience

During the pandemic, we focused on standing by our customers while launching new community initiatives, including GAA sponsorships and being named Best Financial Services Company.

2021 – Joining Forces With bunq

A landmark year saw us refresh our brand to “We Are With You” and join European neobank bunq, a strategic move designed to accelerate our digital growth.

2022 – Lender of the Year

Our commitment to excellence was recognised at the Irish Financial Services Awards, where Capitalflow was named Lender of the Year.

2023 – The €1 Billion Milestone

We reached 85 people and surpassed €1bn in total lending. We also continued our support for impacted businesses through the €75m Ukraine Credit Guarantee Scheme.

2024 – Digital Transformation

We unveiled the FAS Growth Plan to double our loan book, acquired the €122m Lunar mortgage book, and launched an award-winning digital platform.

2025 – Scaling to €2 Billion

Capitalflow was awarded its Retail Credit Licence and reached a major new milestone of €2bn in total advances, while continuing our global support via the Irish Red Cross.

2026 – New Horizons

We further expanded our property offering with the launch of a new broker-led Buy-to-Let mortgage product, supporting investors across the country.
